Location: Greenway Ford & CDJR – Morris, IL

We’re seeking a motivated, professional, and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our service team and help deliver the first-class experience our customers expect from the Ford and CDJR brands.

Schedule / Work-Life Balance:

  • Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Alternating Saturdays: 8:45 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Sunday: Closed

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years as an Automotive Service Advisor in a dealership or repair facility
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle systems, maintenance schedules, and repair processes
  • Customer Focus: Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with computers, dealership management systems, and digital communication tools
  • Preferred: CDK software experience and current Ford, CDJR, or OEM certifications

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, accurately documenting customer concerns and vehicle symptoms
  • Write and manage repair orders from vehicle check-in through completion and delivery
  • Communicate status updates clearly via phone, text, or email throughout the repair process
  • Review multi-point inspections and recommend maintenance or repairs per factory and dealership guidelines
  • Provide accurate estimates and explain all services, charges, and warranty details transparently
  • Obtain and document warranty approvals from OEM and extended warranty providers
  • Coordinate daily with technicians, parts staff, and the Service Manager to ensure timely, high-quality repairs
  • Maintain CSI scores that meet or exceed OEM standards through exceptional customer care
  • Ensure all documentation meets OEM, warranty, and dealership compliance standards
  • Stay current with Ford and Stellantis (CDJR) programs, required training, and certifications

 

Additional Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance operations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer and typing proficiency
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, and move in and out of vehicles throughout the day
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
